D'Touch International Sdb Bhd is organising the 14th Miss Tourism International 2010 World Final at the Grand Ballroom of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa on Dec 31, 2010, 7.30pm.
56 countries have been invited to take part in this event which will be held in conjunction with a Special New Year's Eve Countdown Party.
This party is unique in the sense that it is the only annual New Year's Eve World Final pageant, and it is also the biggest New Year's Eve countdown party , with delegates from 56 countries in attendance, making it the biggest ever in the history of Miss Tourism International.
Initiated in 1994 by Datuk Danny Ooi, President and Franchise owner, Miss Tourism International is a homegrown title and it is more than just a beauty pageant. It is an international platform to promote peace, tourism, cultural exchanges and to foster friendship, harmony and goodwill not only among the participating countries but also with the rest of the world.
The Miss Tourism International 2010 will go a long way in complementing the efforts of the Tourism Ministry in promoting the country. It is also timely as it is coincided with the country's shopping carnival, YEAR END SALE (YES). Not only will the event help to promote local tourism boost tourism efforts by putting Malaysia on the world map, international media are also expected to converge here to provide extensive coverage on the world final.
Besides, special efforts are made to promote Malaysia culture and heritage, especially Malaysian batik, with the tagline "Bringing Batik Malaysia To The World".
Special designed batik will be paraded in the world final by the beauty queens for worldwide admiration, through the internet broadcast on the official website: www.misstourisminternational .com
A special tour and visit is arranged to Kraftangan Malaysia in Jalan Conlayon Dec 22, 2010. The delegated will be taught the art of batik crafting and first hand experience in the craft.
Miss Tourism International is among the three homegrown titles mooted by D'Touch International Sdn Bhd. The other two are Miss Tourism Queen of The Year International which made its debut in 1993 and Miss Tourism Metropolitan International, inaugurated in 2007.
D'Touch International which has been in the pageantry industry for more than 26 years, has also been successfully franchising the Miss Tourism International title to more than 60 countries.
